For over six decades, researchers from all over the world have met in the U. S. on a regular basis to exchange new ideas and recent discoveries on the fundamental chemical, physical and biological effects induced by ionizing particles and photons, and their applications in medicine and industry. These discussions have led to great advances in our understanding of ionizing processes and their chemical and biological consequences, and they have served to educate generations of young researchers and introduce them to the international research community. The International Conference on Ionizing Processes (ICIP) was founded in 2016 to carry on that proud tradition in the form of an independent conference. We welcome you to attend ICIP 2018 as we build on the momentum established by the inaugural meeting.
